For more than 26 years, Michael Molloy has been helping clients turn ideas into thoughtfully designed, practical and inspiring spaces. Today, Molloy Architecture & Design Studio brings that experience to projects of every scale, combining creative architectural design with a highly personal and collaborative approach.

At the heart of our practice is a simple principle: great architecture begins with listening.

Every project starts with our client. We take the time to understand not only the brief, but how a building will be used, how it should feel and what our client ultimately wants to achieve. Rather than approaching projects with a predetermined architectural style, we develop each design around the individual needs, ideas and aspirations of the people who will use the space.

We are a design-led architectural practice, but we believe good design should serve the client rather than the other way around.

Our role is to listen, challenge where appropriate and use our experience and creativity to develop the strongest possible solution for each brief. Our ability to work across different architectural styles allows us to respond to the unique character of every project, site and client.

From contemporary new homes and carefully considered extensions to residential developments, commercial buildings, sports and leisure facilities and publicly funded projects, the same philosophy applies: there is no one-size-fits-all approach to architecture.

With more than 26 years in architectural practice, Michael Molloy has worked with hundreds of clients across a diverse range of projects.

That experience brings an understanding of every stage of the architectural process – from the earliest ideas and feasibility studies through planning, design and construction to supervision, certification and completion.

We are particularly proud of our track record in successfully securing planning permission for our clients. Planning can often be one of the most challenging aspects of a project, and our extensive experience allows us to identify potential issues early, develop appropriate design responses and guide clients through the process with confidence.

Our practical, solutions-focused approach continues beyond the drawing board. During construction, we work closely with clients, contractors and other professionals to overcome challenges and help keep projects moving towards a successful completion.

Architecture can be complex. Working with your architect shouldn't be.

We pride ourselves on being personable, approachable and easy to work with. We believe the best projects develop through open communication and a strong working relationship between architect and client.

Your ideas matter. Your preferences matter. And, ultimately, you are the person who will live, work or spend time in the spaces we create.
