I was delighted to be asked to Design and Plan Riverchapels new Community Centre. When it completes it will be a fantastic addition to the existing centre.
A contemporary take on the gable fronted two storey small farmhouse that featured the old stone outhouses perpendicular in plan enclosing the yard on three sides. These were a common feature of the Irish countryside and there are many fine examples in North Wexford and South Wicklow.
And the rest of the Contextual CGIs for the last phase of The Meadows Wicklow town residential scheme.
The latest CGI’s of the last phase of The Meadows Residential Scheme for the Redmond brothers, currently well under way in Marlton Wicklow. These are a completely different Aesthetic than previous phases.
This project is a redesign of an incomplete Rural cluster of four dormers in the Castletown area. The houses were at wall plate level when we were asked to modernise the traditional design so the developer could bring them to the market in 2022. They were originally designed and planned in the mid noughties. Even though these rural clusters worked really well they are no longer permitted in the Countryside of Wexford and most other counties.
Last but certainly not least tonight, the form of a single and two storey wing slightly separated is extremely popular in the last 18months and I would agree For many good reasons.
This is the final Masterplan for the entire Millquarter Neighbourhood framework. 6 years in planning, design and and approx 50% completion on site by The Redmond brothers. Which is incredible progress given the two difficult years we have had. CGI’s of the next phase are shown here. The completed development will contain An inner relief through main road, The IT centre, A substantial childcare centre, Affordable housing, Mews Apartments, Duplex apartments, Residential Care units, A public Park and a Riverwalk linking with the Millands road. The Urban design and overall integrated Planning with mixed uses will result in Millquarter being a very desirable place to live which is reflected in the demand for the units.
For reference when viewing the master plan, the Amber Springs sits to the West and St Aidans centre and are to the East.
